DEMENTIA CARE
Understanding care for every Stage of Dementia
Specialist dementia care is dedicated to supporting individuals living with any form of dementia, a term that encompasses a range of conditions affecting memory, thinking, and daily abilities.
At the heart of exceptional dementia care lies a simple truth: with the right environment and a personalised daily rhythm, individuals can experience the rich quality of life they truly deserve. It requires time, deep understanding, unwavering reassurance, and profound respect.
NEW DEVELOPMENT
That’s why we are so excited to announce our new construction project at Thorncliffe. This will be much more than a care home—it will be a purpose-built, advanced dementia facility designed from the ground up. Every detail, from the layout and lighting to the secure gardens and sensory spaces, will be intentionally crafted to soothe, engage, and empower.
Here, we will go beyond essential care to truly understand each person’s unique story, needs, and strengths. Our dedicated team will work with residents to co-create a safe, stimulating, and healthy lifestyle, making our care a pioneering community where life is lived fully, with dignity and joy.

DEMENTIA CARE
Advanced dementia
Dementia care is our specialist support for people living with significant forms of dementia who require a higher level of supervision and assistance. It provides a safe, secure environment tailored to those who may experience memory loss, confusion, or behaviours that can be challenging to manage elsewhere.
In a specialised Dementia setting, residents receive 24-hour personal care within a supportive, homely environment. The emphasis is on maintaining routine, familiarity, and meaningful engagement—helping each person feel safe, valued, and as independent as possible.
Purposefully designed spaces that reduce anxiety and promote calm. Care will be delivered by a dedicated team with enhanced dementia training, focused on understanding each resident’s unique story, abilities, and needs.
Frequently asked
questions
We support residents at all stages of dementia, from early stage through to advanced dementia with complex needs. Each person is assessed individually before admission to ensure we can meet their specific needs appropriately and safely.
Our activities programme is tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents and includes reminiscence sessions, music therapy, sensory activities, gentle exercise, gardening and creative arts.
These activities are designed to promote engagement, reduce anxiety, and support cognitive wellbeing, while offering meaningful moments of connection and joy. Our dedicated team works closely with residents and their families to ensure each activity reflects personal history, preferences, and interests, creating a truly individual approach to care.
This is one of the most difficult decisions a family will ever face and we do not underestimate that. A care home becomes the right option when the level of support needed can no longer safely be provided at home, even with community services in place. We offer a no-obligation visit and assessment so that families can see our home, meet our team, and ask any questions they have before making any decision.
