Oldfield House Summer Party

We’re thrilled to share news of a beautiful new garden area developed at Oldfield House, giving residents a lovely outdoor space to relax, socialise, and enjoy the fresh air.

A Space Designed for Residents

Completed late last year, the new garden has been finished with specialised materials to create a safe, accessible, and attractive outdoor area. It offers residents a peaceful spot to unwind, spend time with visiting family and friends, or simply enjoy some time outdoors.

The paving throughout our grounds isn’t just practical — it’s been carefully chosen to support the safety, confidence, and independence of residents living with dementia and those with mobility needs. Flat, even, and non-reflective, the slabs eliminate the visual confusion and trip hazards that standard paving can create, giving residents the freedom to walk, wheel, or wander outdoors safely and with dignity. It’s a small detail that makes a profound difference — turning our gardens into places residents can genuinely enjoy, not just spaces they pass through.

Perfect for Get-Togethers

The garden is already proving to be a wonderful setting for get-togethers, and is ideally suited for BBQs and summer parties. It will play host to Oldfield House’s famous summer party, giving residents, staff, and families a fantastic space to come together and celebrate throughout the warmer months.

A Great Addition to Oldfield House

This new outdoor area is a fantastic addition to life at Oldfield House, offering residents even more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. We can’t wait to make the most of it together, starting with this year’s summer celebrations!
